Picture this: you pull under the live oaks, and the porch light is already glowing. Inside, ten of your favorite people spill across leather sofas beneath a vaulted ceiling, while coffee steams at the bar and the island fits everyone. Out back, the fire pit is ready for s’mores, and the hot tub is ready for tired feet. Tomorrow, Gruene Hall and the river are minutes away. Tonight, you’re home at the Homestead Farm House.
Homestead Farm House is a white board-and-batten cottage at Camp Hideaway Gruene, built for groups who want to actually be together. It sleeps 10 across 3 bedrooms, 6 beds and 2 baths, and it is all yours to run like your own.
The heart of the home is the vaulted living room. Two facing tufted leather sofas, armchairs, a wall-mounted TV, an olive tree and oversized pendant lights make it the spot where movie nights, card games and “one more story” happen.
Right beside it, the kitchen island seats 8 or more on wooden barstools, so the cook is never alone. You will find a full kitchen with a range and hood, microwave, farmhouse sink, stainless refrigerator and floating shelves of dishes and glassware.
Around the corner is the beverage and coffee bar, with a Keurig, a kettle, mugs and wine glasses. Start the morning there, end the night there.
Camp Hideaway Gruene also hosts weddings and events on its grounds, and the wedding lawn sits close to the pool. On event days the pool area may be busy or quieter than usual, and guests have told us they have stepped aside for a ceremony. If a pool-heavy weekend is the goal, message us before booking and we will happily share what is on the calendar.
Check-in is self-service at 4:00 PM with a keypad code, sent before arrival. Checkout is 11:00 AM. You have the whole home: kitchen, living room, bedrooms, baths, laundry, porches, fire pit and grill. Pool and hot tub access: see the note above. Exterior security cameras cover the property; none are inside the home.
